We are building autonomous infrastructure.

We are assembling an engineering team to build a platform that changes how developers use and maintain cloud infrastructure. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will design our product architecture, set our engineering practices, and shape the company.

The Role

You will connect customer deployments to our core product. You solve practical problems first, prioritizing user needs over complex architecture. You will embed with users, observe how the platform behaves in production, and build those insights back into the product.

We expect you to automate your own workflow. You will use AI tools and LLMs to write code, run tests, and eliminate repetitive tasks so you can focus on hard technical problems.

What You'll Do

• Translate customer needs: Work with early customers to fix deployment issues. Build those solutions directly into the core platform.
• Prioritize useful software: Design features based on user discovery. Avoid over-engineering systems before customers use them.
• Automate your work: Use AI assistants and automation tools to write, test, and debug code.
• Write full-stack code: Build features across our entire stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services.
• Scale systems: Design distributed architectures that handle high traffic with low latency.
• Guide the roadmap: Partner with founders to turn user feedback into product features.

What We Look For

• Focus on solutions: You enjoy diagnosing production failures and turning manual fixes into product features.
• AI-assisted execution: You use generative AI tools to write code faster and handle routine tasks.
• Clean code: You write clean, legible, and fast code.
• Full-stack experience: You know TypeScript and React on the frontend. You build backends using Go and Rust, and you have integrated machine learning models into production with Python.
• Distributed systems knowledge: You have built microservices, handled distributed state, and managed production failures.
• Startup experience: You work well with changing requirements and shifting priorities.

• Data & Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Redis, ScyllaDB
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
• AI & Automation: Vector databases, prompt engineering, LLM APIs, and AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Copilot
