The Role

As our Founding Product Engineer, you'll be the bridge between ambitious product vision and exceptional technical execution. You'll own entire product features from conception to deployment, architect scalable distributed systems, and establish engineering practices that will define our company for years to come.

What You'll Do

• Own the Full Stack: Design and implement end-to-end features across our entire technology stack, from intuitive user interfaces to robust backend services
• Architect for Scale: Build highly available, resilient, and scalable architectures that can handle exponential growth while maintaining sub-second response times
• Shape Product Direction: Work directly with founders and early customers to translate vision into reality, making critical product decisions that impact our roadmap
• Build Distributed Systems: Design and implement microservices, event-driven architectures, and data pipelines that power real-time experiences at scale
• Champion Cloud-Native: Leverage modern cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) to build cost-effective, globally distributed systems with built-in redundancy

What We're Looking For

• Engineering Excellence: Not just a coder, but a craftsperson who takes pride in every line of code. You write code that's performant, readable, and above all, elegant
• Full-Stack Mastery: Deep expertise across the entire stack - from TypeScript/React on the frontend to distributed backends in Go/Rust, with experience integrating AI/ML models using Python/Rust into production applications
• Distributed Systems Expert: Proven track record building microservices, implementing event sourcing, managing distributed state, and handling complex failure scenarios
• Cloud Infrastructure Fluency: Hands-on experience with Lambda, CloudRun, Kubernetes, Terraform, service meshes, and modern observability tools
• Architectural Vision: Ability to design systems that start simple but can scale to millions of users without major rewrites
• Startup Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and wearing multiple hats while maintaining high engineering standards

Technical Stack & Skills

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, real-time updates (WebSockets/SSE)
• Backend: Proficiency in at least two of: Go, Python, Rust, TypeScript
• Distributed Systems: Microservices, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), gRPC, service discovery
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis, ScyllaDB, MySQL, Cassandra
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code
• Observability: Distributed tracing, metrics, logging, APM tools
• AI/ML Engineering: Experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow, Vector DBs, model serving, prompt engineering, and GenAI APIs (OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini)
